This notice supplements the Privacy policy for India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, as their provisions come into force.

Roles and firm responsibility

For account, security, and direct service-usage data, Saltman may act as a Data Fiduciary. For client files and matter content a firm controls, Saltman generally processes data for the firm under the applicable service arrangement.

The firm remains responsible for its own notices, lawful processing, user instructions, access decisions, and retention obligations for client data.

Requests and grievances

To make a privacy request or raise a grievance, email privacy@saltman.in. We may need to verify identity, authority, and the workspace concerned before acting.

Service providers and cross-border processing

Service providers may process data in locations outside India. Applicable contractual, organizational, and technical controls depend on the service and legal requirements in force.
